Reducing Food Waste
We’re proud to be working with FareShare who redistribute perfectly good food to help fight hunger across the UK. Check out our 2023 Q3 stats.
FareShare is a UK national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together they take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 9,500 frontline charities and community groups.
The food they redistribute is nutritious and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week they provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.
Whilst we aim to keep any surplus or ‘waste’ yogurt to a minimum, we are equally delighted to be giving our fresh wholesome yogurt to those who need it most.
We’ve received our Partnership Impact Report for the 3rd quarter of this year (2023) and we are delighted to have helped 68 charities, provided 5,238 equivalent meals and saved nearly 4 tonnes of CO2.
